Frequently Asked Questions

As stated in OSH Regulations, residential edge protection scaffolding must be installed if any person on a worksite is at risk of falling 2 metres or more from a flat edge.
(1 metre for light commercial edge protection)

If workers are on something other than a flat edge such as a roof, roof truss or ladder, then only heights of 3 metres and above require edge protection to be installed.

Any building with 26 deegrees or greater requires a catch platform ( hang on platform)

In Australia height safety equipment and working at heights practices are governed by the Working At Height Association (WAHA).

WAHA enforce the following Australian Standards & Industry Codes:

  • AS1657:2018 Fixed Platforms, Walkways, Stairways and Ladders;
  • AS/NZS 1891.1 Part 1: Safety Belts and Harnesses;

  • AS2625 Safe Working in a Confined Space;
  • AS/NZS 4488 Industrial Rope Access Systems;
  • AS/NZS 5532 Manufacturers requirements for single point anchors.
